Childs Park is within walking distance from our house. Visit Childs Park and see the many beautiful waterfalls with safe walking trails & boardwalks. By Factory Falls is a ruin of a wool mill that was built around 1820 by Joseph Brooks, who operated the mill until his death in 1832. He and his family owned our house and the property all the way from us to Childs Park . This land was called "Friendship" and contained 327 acres. The Brooks Family have a Family Cemetery across the road from Childs Park. They came here from Yorkshire, England in 1816 and owned this property until 1873. Take SHORTLINE BUS from Port Authority , NYC, 1 800 631 8405 . To Milford , PA. We will Pick You Up at the Station. Or Take the NJ- TRANSIT TRAIN from Pennstation , NYC .To Port Jervis NY . and we will come pick You up at the station . ( all about 20 min from us ) BRING YOUR BIKE ON THE TRAIN !!! You can go swimming , canoeing , row a boat , in our public park " Camp Acenac " minimal daily fee ($2.00 ) Pick up a Sandwich , bring a Pic Nic from our local country mart " Arnold's " Then maybe have Dinner at Rimby's Resturante , Great food , on the Way back to us and our beautiful , wonderful , DingmansFerry Bed and Breakfast !!!	> canoe or raft in the Delaware River > fish for trout, shad, bass, and eel > horseback riding > hiking in state forests > visit the falls at Childs Park (fifteen minute hike from our house), Raymondskills Falls, Dingmans Falls with good, safe walking trails > picnicking (inquire about baskets-to-go) > swimming in nearby lakes and river > bird watching and wildlife (many different species) > snow skiing, snow mobiling, golf courses > restaurants > private exercise instruction
Spring is soo pretty around here. We also have a lot of Native Spring Wild Flowers that grows on our property and all over...	Enjoy Yourselfs, relax or go shopping. Maybe have a picnic in our private woods ? Ask for Picnic baskets-ToGo .
